"Prompt attention to the needs of the student by the staff. Good communication flow re: student between staff members/parents. Staff is quick to trouble shoot/problem solve identified issues re:tutor/student/parents. Tutor matching exercises/finds are done to best suit student's tutor gender preferences and student's school/ family/ sport etc. schedules. Would like to see implemented a system whereby actual high school course marks are checked by tutor and student AND staff via student's powerschool program and/or report card. Doing this will help tutor identify real problems that may be lying hidden there for ex. student does well on unit homework and quizzes but does not do well in test situations. Doing this at regular intervals would also give Tutor Doctor staff a real/true measure on how/what the tutor is doing to improve undesired results and/or findings. Would also like to have staff caution tutors on commenting on the level/degree of difficulty of course work and the validity of the courses especially if they, the tutor, have been educated outside Alberta. Comparisions to other provinces can and will give the student mixed messages and can possibly discount the work that is being done by the student, the school and/or teachers. Lastly, it would be nice to have notice of all changes with respect to the tutor's weekday/weekend availabily, holidays,stoppage in tutor services etc. Having notices go out in writing from Tutor Doctor to the parents prior to changes being made would definitely be helpful. Student's don't always share information that is provided verbally while in session.”

"I always was thinking of getting a tutor for my daughters, and one day at work we had the benefits fair that is where I saw Doctor Tutor, I talk to Shannon explain to her that my daughter was struggling in reading and comprehension. She recommend for as to schedule an appt and she was going to do an assessment to see what kind of help does my daughter need it. My daughter came from a school that did not care if she did homework or not going to her new school where she will have daily 2-3 hours of homework. I notice that she had 3-4 F’s on her report card. So I decide to get a Tutor. On my first appointment Mrs. Tina our tutor she made some assessment to see what exactly she need it help with. On the first day they work on reading skills and that is when Mrs. Tina point me that she was not understanding what she was reading because there was unfamiliar vocabulary, there were some words that she should of known since 3rd grade. From there on they work on vocabulary and basic geometry and vowels and spelling, wow since there my daughter has been getting better and better every day. Now she is reading every where she goes and now she helps me with my pronunciation. I really recommend you DR Tutor they have help my daughter extremely and they have help me too. My daughter grades now are B+ & C+, my Daughter is always looking forward to meet with Mrs. Tina we love her. Thank you Doctor Tutor”
