"The initial meeting which involves the needs assessment of the student and sets out parameters such as ensuring the stundent and the learning space are arranged prior to the tutors arrival. Fleixibility to meet the needs of my daughters, volunteering, work and medical appointments. Structured homework with set goals, and follow up on those goals. The tutor was able to not only bring up my daughters competence in math but also her overall confindence in math. She continually talked herself out of learning math and stated she was dumb, and today she was beaming after doing the chapter review on her own and realizing "hey I can do this". Learning is a process and the tutor was exceedingly careful to build on what was know to what she now knows methodically.”
